Do you want a better life? It not only is possible, it is achievable. And it is within your control.
The Philosophy for LYF presents the key concepts critical to your better life, and it provides a clear path to achieving it. When you implement these concepts, you will be improving your life, enjoying your life, valuing your life, and realizing your life's potential every day.
A key tenet of the philosophy states that you only need to focus your life on four deeds of goodness. These four deeds are alliterated in an easy-to-remember credo:
LRN LAF LUV LIV for LYF
The next few posts will provide you with an understanding of the important concepts of the philosophy so you can implement them in your life.
Many people initially believe the philosophy is simply to "learn," "laugh," "love," and "live" more. But the philosophy is much more profound and powerful than this elementary level.
When you implement the philosophy's four deeds of goodness––LRN, LAF, LUV, and LIV––at their deeper levels by interconnecting them, applying them both inward toward self and outward toward others, and making them everyday habits, you will begin experiencing an elevated life (LYF). An elevated life is marked with wisdom, joy, purpose, and attainment of your potential. All of these arise from your life’s true mission: to grow true wealth for yourself and give true worth to others.
Several of the key concepts of the Philosophy for LYF are depicted in the diagram below.
The Philosophy for LYF guides your life with foundational core values, a clear twofold lifelong mission, a focused strategy of four deeds, and an attainable vision of your better life. These provide answers to the way of your life, the what to live for, the how to live it, and the why to live your life this way. Implementing and living these tenets give you goodness of character, of action, of purpose, and of life.
I am excited to share a deeper discussion of these concepts with you over the next few weeks, along with a straightforward seven-week plan to help you begin implementing it in your life. Because––no matter who you are, where you are, or what you’ve done––your life can be better. You can do it.
