LRN LAF LUV LIV and the Goodness Party

A new political party sprung up this year (2020) in the United States of America, fittingly on its Independence Day (July 4). It's called the Goodness Party.

Given that goodness is a key ingredient in both the Philosophy for LYF and the party, and that their beginnings are from the same founder, it should not be a surprise there are strong connections between LRN LAF LUV LIV and the Goodness Party.

Let's look at a few of the commonalities embraced by both the philosophy and the party.

Goodness is the Foundation

Goodness is the foundational core value in the Philosophy for LYF. It's embedded in its strategy, mission, and vision.

Not surprisingly, the Goodness Party is also a strong believer in the necessity and power of goodness.

Goodness is at the front of its name.  Its logo is G for Goodness.

In addition, the party's ideology (Goodness in government, always) dovetails nicely with the philosophy's Platinum Rule.

Goodness is Inward and Outward

The four deeds of goodness in the Philosophy for LYF are LRN LAF LUV LIV. There is an inward focus (toward self) and an outward focus (toward others). Doing these deeds inward allows one to improve, enjoy, value, and realize the goodness in oneself. Doing these deeds outward allows one to empower, uplift, nurture, and inspire the goodness in others.

The Goodness Party mirrors these concepts. It has four stars in the top part of the logo and four stars in the bottom part of the logo, symbolizing the outward focus of government (doing goodness to its citizens and empowering, uplifting, nurturing, and inspiring its citizens to goodness) and the inward focus of government (doing goodness within itself to become more effective, efficient, just, and valuable in its governance).

A Government of Goodness is the Vision

LRN LAF LUV LIV for Governments has already been described on this website. Please read about it here. The same concepts that can better our lives can better governments, too, and can create governments of goodness.

The Goodness Party embraces these same concepts. It believes governments of goodness can be established at all levels of government, elevating the United States and the world.
